Naz (Nancy) Sereh and Lea Goldner, the founders of Pepe!Smartbag, met at a group exercise class in Newport Beach, California, where they bonded over their love for healthy living. Their friendship flourished.
Once, they had stopped for coffee and pastries in a local café. “To stay or to go?” the employee asked them. “Why choose?” they thought. They discussed the idea and design of a paper lunch bag that does more.
Their partnership began, and they immediately put their collective efforts to work in bringing their vision to fruition.
Lea a Mexican native, spends her time between her home in Mexico City and her Newport Beach residency with her husband and their dogs. She has two educated successful children: a son and daughter.
Naz moved to the U.S. from Iran with her husband and two daughters around the time of the Iranian revolution. They settled in New York where they lived and worked for 25 years before retiring in Newport Beach, California. Her daughters are both highly-educated professionals with two children of their own.
Naz and Lea are natural entrepreneur - creative, curious, focused, and relentless in their drive to make a positive change in peoples’ lives. They both hold high degrees from educational institutions and have expertise in business and sales.
Lea is an industrial designer and she has been working in the design field for more than 30 years.
Naz has been a pescatarian for many years. Both Naz and Lea share a love and respect for animals and condemn animal abuse of any kind.
